Google and duplicate content

Postby mitchelmarsh » Tue Apr 06, 2010 6:03 am

It has just occurred to me that all my lengthy privacy policy page share about 99% content with my other websites and include about 1200 words. Given that I have a number of website plus my mentor provided me with his privacy policy so there probably hundreds of pages like this on internet.

Do you have any views on how google will treat this in relation to duplicate content?

Duplicate content contains the substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar.
Google will check the content with their strategy to prevent the duplication .

Duplicate content is not accepted by Google. If you have such like of content on your website then you will not get good ranking in Google even in any search engine. It is totally waste.
